Well, what do I have to say, I looked through a bunch of my old blurty entries and just saw how long its been since I was there, and how much things have changed and how fast the time seems to have gone by. What else, well from my understanding, I have another fight in Joplin in mid to late August. When I mentioned that earlier, about the August fights, those were in Joplin, the ones in Fayatteville AR are this weekend. I don't know about the ones in AR, I don't know what my opponent looks like, but I do for the Joplin one. As far as looks go, its a big leap from my last (first ever) opponent. My first fight was against a tall, lanky, long armed, not much muscle definement, and long haired guy. By his picture, I wasn't too intimidated. He didn't look too threatening, even though he ended up winning the fight. But from my perspective, I didn't look too intimidating either. Also, they guy I saw that looked the least intimidating out of all of them, is now training with us. But now, if you take a look at the guy I'm supposedly fighting my next time in Joplin, he's blonde, well toned, short haired, serious attitude, squared jaw, and ready to freakin' kill me. He doesn't look as tall as the first guy I fought, so reach advantage against me may not be a factor. But I always thought longer reaching opponents had less strength, since more of the punch went into range and extension, and not into the force behind the punch. But the guy I first fought had good reach, and it may be just my first experiences of getting hit in the face talking here, but his punches seem to hurt enough. I don't want to imagine if I'm right and punches with a shorter range hurt worse. I hope I'm wrong about punches hurting worse than punches with more reach. But I'm a fighter so, thats what I'm going to have to get use to, sooner or later. Either way, I'm just hoping I put on a good performance, showing I have what it takes to fight and survive. And secondary, winning the fight. I don't want to expect and embed anything in my mind that has to do with winning, becaues that'll make me all the more disappointed if I lose. But I got to win if I want to get anywhere in the world of MMA, so lets smash some skulls, and win this bad boy. If I want to lose my being intimidated, and yes I admit, I am a little intimidated by this guy's picture, he looks serious, maybe I got to look at it everyday. If any of you find anything about it that you find ridiculous or obscure, mention it to me and maybe I'll calm down. And something about the blonde hair adds to it, I don't know why but it does. I pictured it if he had black or brown hair, and for some reason when I pictured it that way, it looked less scary to me, here's the link, find something bad about it, and tell me what it is. Maybe even if you told me he looks like an average joe guy that might help. If you find him as mean looking as I do then you can tell me "Hey, you're right, this guy does look like he's ready to kill you." then thats ok too. Maybe it'll boost up my nervousness and prone me to try harder and win, I don't know, but I'd prefer to be calm.
